Chapter Twelve

Caro peppered kisses along Malo’s jaw. She couldn’t stop herself. His lovemaking was better than she’d dreamed. Her body tingled, satiated, yet hunger stained the edges of her consciousness, murmuring with need. He held her to his chest, his strength phenomenal, and above all, it felt right to be there in his arms. Grinding her hips, she tested the steel length of him still buried in her. Then he stopped.

She mewled, unable to form words. With a flip of her body, he had her kneeling. He looped an arm around her hips and raised her backside to meet his descending thrusts. “Yes.” She kissed his shoulder.

“Hungry, thirsty, cleanse?” he asked.

She shook her head, snuggling into his side, and sighing when he drew her closer.

“I’d like to stay right here if you don’t mind?” She hesitated, not wanting to force him to cuddle if it wasn’t something Etterians did.

“Mind? Caro, my gift, try and leave my arms and see what I will do.” He sounded like he was smiling. That was rare, so she pushed herself up to glance at him.
